NGI Zero Regional Representatives Portal

This is a non-public portal created by NLnet foundation for the NGI Zero regional representatives. It provides an overview of NGI Zero projects from the region of the representative and has the option to send a direct message to these projects.

Regional representatives have a dual mission of fostering an NGI Zero community in their locality and advocating for the use and creation of Free/Libre/Open source technologies. To fulfill these goals they may want to contact projects within their region that have received NGI Zero funding. This portal enables them to reach out to local projects without the contact details of the project teams being disclosed.

NLnet has an intrinsic commitment to privacy, and we shield off our grantees from exposure to the outside world. We never share any information or grantees with 3rd parties (unless of course we have asked and explicitly have been given permission to e.g. make an introduction). See our privacy statement. To shield contact information, this portal forwards messages from the representatives to the project teams. It is entirely up to the project team to decide whether or not to respond to the forwarded message.

Access to the NGI Zero Regional Representatives Portal is restricted to NGI Zero regional representatives. That is to say, people who have been hired in that role, and are under contract with NGI Zero partner Brno University of Technology's Faculty of Information Technology.

NLnet is the lead of NGI Zero, a consortium of sixteen non-profit organisations, responsible for a series of grantmaking programmes which is part of the Next Generation Internet initiative of the European Commission's DG CNECT.
